Arizona Food Recall Lawyers
Every year, hundreds of food products and pet food products are pulled from the shelves of stores and warehouses due to contamination problems, sanitary issues, and other risks. From the period of December 5, 2008 through January 2, 2009, for instance, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission recalled over two dozen wide ranging food products.
These product recalls included:
- Certain Louisiana Fish Fry Products
- Wonderfarm Brand Biscuits made by the company Interfood -- recall issued because of unspecified health risks associated with the product
- Ungutted, Salt-Cured Alewives Fish that the FDA believed might have been contaminated with the Botulism toxin
- Chocolate Energy Shake Mix, made by the Kashi Company -- officials identified the presence of undeclared milk, which could cause allergic reactions in drinkers
- Fraudulent/potentially dangerous weight-loss pills
- Gourmet Market cocoa products manufactured by the G&J Company
- Fish Cake Sushi produced by the KRC Food Trading Inc company
- Over 170 Teddy Bear Chocolates, sold at Walgreens
- Imitation Cream Cheese products produced by Cranbrook Foods -- Officials believed that these low-protein products were possible safety and health risks
Contaminated, unsafe, or misdated food stuffs can cause a range of ailments including botulism poisoning, salmonella, diarrhea, gastro-intestinal discomfort, infections, abrasion/cuts of the digestive system, choking, and even death. If you or a loved one has been the victim of a contaminated food product, you may be able to hold the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer of that product responsible for some or all of the injuries you incurred.
